The Sisseton Arts Council, Heritage Museums of the Coteau des Prairies, and over a dozen local handcrafters and makers have joined together for the "Common Threads of America" art exhibit up now at the Nicollet Tower and Interpretive Center, as well as the Stavig House Museum. There is a wide variety of works from local quilters, beadworkers, crocheters, woodworkers, and other handcrafted pieces made with techniques passed down from generations.
This show is FREE to the public and will be up from now until the end of the season in September. There will be a "Meet and Greet" with the artists and makers on Friday, August 14th at the Nicollet Tower from 5 to 7pm.
A quick note, celebrating 30 years of sharing their Nordic history, the Stavig House Museum has free admission all season long!

*UPDATE* Unfortunately, we were unable to curate the show in time Celebrate Sisseton Days. We hope to have it up in the very near future. Stay tuned!
